Custom made to measure tightlacing corsetry

More than half the orders received here are custom made to measure for everyday tightlacing / waist training needs.  Here is an example of a py09 Curvy Underbust, custom ordered with a mock-up fitting.   English floral coutil fabric on the outside and English coutil lined inside.  Spoonbusk closure for extra lower tummy support and custom detachable wide garters added. With this particular mock-up, we were able to determine how much higher to raise the underbust line for the final corset.

All corset styles can be custom made to measure.  Click here fo more details and pricing to have your corset custom made.

How to Properly Remove Your Corset

Always unlace the back of a corset before unhooking the front busk closure. Busks made in China have been getting a bad rap but even the sturdiest busks made in Germany, like the one on this corset, will break with too much stress. Typically, most people undo the bottom hooks first and work their way up. Because this corset was not unlaced properly beforehand, too much stress made the top metal stud pop! Once a real corset is made, it cannot be altered without compromising its strength and quality as a functional garment.

Always take time to unlace the back first.  You’re gonna have to unlace it to put it on again, anyways…

Corset Bustle Dress

A 22″ waist Corset Bustle Dress constructed of red cherry blossom silk brocade. Has strategic overlapping spiral steel bone placement so that the lady can sit comfortably and allow the bustle to pop out while standing. It took 45 hours to create this masterpiece and retailed for $10 000. This item was sold several years ago and will not be duplicated.

Madonna’s Corset

This corset was custom made for Madonna to be worn on her 2008 Sticky and Sweet tour. It is made of cowhide leather with a Velcro panel at the back to be easily removed while performing. The plates are solid gold and silver custom made by Rico Mann & Reggie Park’s Championship Belts. The back of each plate had no fastening or hooks so bendable spikes had to be soldered on and punctured into the corset.
